Job Description:


Calling all coffee loving, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, sales and operations experts: we are seeking a seasoned Director, Sales & Operations to be a partner to the founder and to lead our daily operations and sales initiatives for our wholesale and retail channels. This is an exciting leadership opportunity in our start-up company for a problem-solving, energetic and adaptable individual to help shape our future and to be impactful. You will be communicative, reliable, results-focused, and adopt a very hands-on approach to do whatever is needed to achieve results. You have the ability to execute tactical objectives utilizing data-driven KPIs, while understanding how to align with overall strategy and goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate and grow the sales activities and initiatives
  • Develop and enhance relationships with customers and other key stakeholders
  • Maintain, evolve and deliver on a core set of critical metrics for sales performance, providing visibility and actionable insights.
  • Plan roasting and purchasing schedule
  • Supervise the coffee roaster(s), ensuring production is efficient and supports sales demands
  • Identify and recommend new coffee varieties and marketing opportunities
  • Report on team and individual performance
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
  • Manage the facilities, ensuring operations are conducted safely and effectively
  • Prepare and present weekly status reports for owner
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must love all things coffee
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to partner, collaborate, and influence
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Follow all company Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Demonstrable experience of success in sales leadership role
  • 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and very comfortable with computers
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Unassisted lifting of very heavy items
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Texas Food Safety Manager certification preferred
  • Bachelor degree preferred
