Much of the variety and diversity of specialty coffee originates from the living bean itself. The climate, soil, altitude and available minerals all impact the ultimate flavor, texture and experience of the final coffee. More than 70 countries around the world grow coffee, primarily between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Each coffee growing region has its own history and culture that imparts its regional characteristics and further refined by individual coffee plantations.
